Courtside Racquet & Fitness Club approached us with a challenge: To create a new
web presence that is vibrant and capable of being updated by its managers.
Our approach:
Discovery Phase
First we conducted a detailed analysis of the existing website to identify components
that wouldn't fit on the new approach and also components that could be re-used.
During this phase we also interviewed several managers responsible for areas
where update was needed frequently. Our goal was to identify what would be needed
to build a customized and efficient content management system to facilitate
the updating of the site.
Experiment Phase
Then we created several templates that implemented the new design - including a new logo - and
presented the templates to the managers responsible for the website revamping.
Development Phase
After choosing a template, we started the development phase. This is the phase
when most interaction occurs between the client and our team. We made sure that by
using our development server all files would be available to the client, so that they could
see the site taking shape and growing according to the decisions made in the previous
phases.
Implementation Phase
Once the website was fully developed, tested and approved by the Courtside team,
we moved it to our production server, making it available for the World Wide Web.
All managers who were responsible for updating the site received in-house training on how
to use the content management system we developed. We worked on a one-to-one basis
until all the questions were answered and they felt confident to use the content
management system and keep the site content fresh.
